Dr. José Ginel Rodríguez shared with Dr. Darrel G Kirch, President and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges and fellow deans Dr. Edgar Colón from the SoM of the UPR and Dr. Olga Rodríguez from the SoM of PHSU during the Learn, Serve and Lead annual meeting that took place November 3-7, 2017. The 128 AAMC annual meeting gathered leaders in medical education and teaching hospitals to discuss the challenges of providing access to medical education and care for all. The work of Puertorrican faculty and medical students who refused to be daunted by hurricane Maria’s catastrophic path was praised.
