TAMF Vice President for Medical and Academic Affairs Tim Brennan, MD, MPH, delivered an invited speech on the burden of addiction and the important role of fellowship training programs before the assembled university community at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, on April 26.

Dr. Brennan was invited to give the address as Visiting Professor by the Alpha Omega Alpha medical student honor society. AOA chapter councilor and UCC Dean of Medicine José Ginel Rodríguez, MD, and UCC President Waleska Crespo-Rivera, DrPH, first met Dr. Brennan at a February meeting sponsored by TAMF and SAMHSA, and their collaboration has led to planning for a new addiction medicine fellowship at UCC.
