Dr. Elizabel De León has became the first professional at the Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC) in completing a certification as a faculty developer from the Learning Resources Network (LERN). Through this experience, Dr. De León joined a distinguished group of experts and faculty members from all over the world in mastering a challenging and exciting online curriculum. By means of this accomplishment, our Faculty Development Office will be better positioned to identify current trends and issues that need to be addressed by faculty development programs, be aware of the latest innovations and best practices in instructional strategies, be apprised of emerging technological advances, understand the needs and characteristics of today’s learners and be able to address the changing role and needs of faculty. UCC congratulates Dr. De León on this significant achievement confident that her knowledge and skills will continue enriching our learning environment.
