The Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC), as an educational institution, is committed to excellence in education in all its academic programs. ACCREDITATION, APPROVAL AND LICENSURE OF INSTITUTION AND PROGRAMS


The Universidad Central del Caribe is authorized by the Council of Education of Puerto Rico (CE-PR) and is fully accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). A copy of the UCC accreditation documentation, as well as all state and federal agency approvals, is available from the President’s office or consulting the following links:

MSCHE Accreditation status: The Universidad Central del Caribe is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. (267-284-5000) www.msche.org. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Next visit by March 2027.

Complaints and Third-Party Comments: The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission) provides opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and members of the public to submit information regarding the qualifications for accreditation of its member institutions: Complaints and Third-Party Comments. LCME Accreditation status:

The Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine is fully accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The LCME is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and WFME as the reliable authority for the accreditation of medical education programs leading to the MD degree. Next accreditation visit by 2027.

Complaints: The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) will consider complaints about program quality, third-party comments, and information from public sources, which, if substantiated, may constitute noncompliance with accreditation standards or unsatisfactory performance in one or more elements. CCE Accreditation status:

The Universidad Central del Caribe, Doctorate of Chiropractic is fully accredited by the Council of Chiropractic Education (CCE).  Next accreditation visit by 2025.

Complaints: The CCE recognizes the value of information provided by students, employees, and others in determining whether a program’s/institution’s performance is consistent with the CCE Accreditation Standards for obtaining or maintaining accreditation. Doctor of Chiropractic Program Accreditation status:

Pursuant to federal regulation 34 CFR 668.43, Universidad Central del Caribe must provide students with up to date information regarding the requirements for obtaining a state chiropractic license. This information is also provided to new students during the admissions process. UCC Doctor of Chiropractic program will meet the requirements for licensure in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and territories, upon granting of the CCE accreditation.
