Research Interest
Dr. Rojas’ recent research program integrates neurophysiological, behavioral, and educational perspectives to better understand and address complex human conditions. Building on this foundation, my recent work has expanded into the field of medical education, with a specific focus on how peer-assisted learning (PAL) can mitigate academic burnout in both undergraduate and medical student populations. This emerging line of research seeks to identify educational practices that align with neurobiological principles and human behavior, aiming to reduce stress-related mechanisms while enhancing resilience and engagement. My research contributes to developing evidence-based strategies that promote well-being and academic performance in high-demand learning environments by bridging neuroscience and pedagogy.
