The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) announced its determination to grant full accreditation to the Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC) School of Medicine. With this determination, the School of Medicine overcome the probation status it had for the past two years, which demonstrates the excellence of its curriculum and resources, including its faculty and students. Likewise, the LCME notification is the result of a process of intense teamwork during which we demonstrate our great strengths and firm determination to continue being one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Puerto Rico and the United States.

“We thank the entire university community for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication. This extraordinary news marks a new period in which we will maintain rigorous practices and processes that will keep us at the level of excellence that we have always had. Let us continue to be leaders in the field of health professions”, said the president of the UCC, Dr. Waleska Crespo.
