The Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in its commitment to the public health in Puerto Rico and keeping its course avantgarde has developed a pilot program for two resident students.  These students will be in addition to our incoming class of 75 students in the academic year 2022-2023. The main objective of this program is to ensure that students with an excellent holistic profile, that could not meet the MCAT requirement, can be accepted to our medical school.

Requirements for the Pilot Program:

  1. Comply with the freshman applicant’s requirements

  2. MCAT score range 490-493

  3. Science GPA 3.5 or more

We recommend that ALL students who apply to our institution, not only the ones that will be part of our pilot program, emphasize not only their academic performance but also advanced degrees, leadership activities, community service, research, shadowing, fine arts, sports, etc.  We believe in a student who demonstrates qualities that help them be more complete, not only as a professional but also as a humanist.
