Ricardo NunezCongratulations to Ricardo Nuñez, undergraduate student from University of Puerto Rico Aguadilla, for being selected to participate in the 2016 Frontiers in Aging and Regeneration Research (FrARR).  This NIH National Institute on Aging sponsored course is designed for junior and senior undergraduates who seek to develop into independent scientists, physicians or Ph.D. investigators and are both passionate about research careers in aging and regeneration and well prepared to build on their existing skills in medicine, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (MSTEM).

FrARR offers dynamic training courses and career advancement strategies that provide a fresh series of daily lecturers on emerging concepts, followed by extended discussions, laboratory research, technologically intense workshops and informal seminars over week-long periods.

Ricardo performs research at UCC under the advice and mentorship of Dr. Michelle Martínez-Montemayor, who is a member of the Cancer Research Unit and faculty of the Department of Biochemistry.
