Congratulations Yismeilin Feliz-Mosquea for Winning a Minority Affairs Council – Travel Award to the 2015 ASCB Meeting

YismeilinCongratulations to Yismeilin Feliz-Mosquea, undergraduate student from Interamerican University, for winning a MAC travel award to participate and present her research at the 2015 American Society for Cell Biology Annual meeting to be held on December 12-16, 2015 in San Diego, CA. Yismeilin will present her abstract entitled: “Inhibitory effect of Ganoderma lucidum and lapatinib in HER2+ inflammatory breast cancer cell lines”.  Yismeilin currently assists a senior graduate student on her research by testing conventional therapies in complement with Ganoderma lucidum extract on inflammatory breast cancer models. She performs research at UCC under the advice and mentorship of Dr. Michelle Martínez-Montemayor, who is a member of the Cancer Research Unit and faculty of the Department of Biochemistry.
