Ph.D. Students Win 1st and 2nd Places at Poster Competition in the 2nd Puerto Rico Cell Signaling Meeting

Eduardo Quiroz was awarded the 1st place. His research, entitled “Bidirectional Regulation of Synchronous, Asynchronous and Delayed Release by Complexin”, was performed at the UCC Neuroscience Department, under the supervision of Dr. Ramon Jorquera.  Congratulations to Eduardo and Dr. Jorquera!

Miguel Méndez was awarded the 2nd place. His research, entitled “SNPs in the KCNJ10 Gene Affect Kir4.1 Channel Function”, was performed at the UCC Biochemistry Department, under the supervision of Dr. Misty Eaton.  Congratulations to Miguel and Dr. Eaton!

Amanda Pacheco was awarded the 3rd Place.  His research, entitled “Differential responses of bone marrow derived macrophages to lipopolysaccaride in the treml1 null mouse”, was performed at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, under the supervision of Dr. A.
