The Universidad Central del Caribe Receives the Specialized Neuroscience Research Program (SNRP) Award from the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Mcontent2The Neuroscience team at the UCC lead by Dr. Maria Bykhovskaia has won a prestigious SNRP program project grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. The mission of the SNRP at the UCC is to promote diversity and excellence in the field of neuroscience by providing first-rate training in neuroscience research and career development guidance for faculty, graduate students, medical students, and undergraduates. The UCC SNRP integrates basic and translational neuroscience research focused on neuronal signaling, collaborations with top mainland universities, first-rate mentoring for junior faculty and research training for students, and career development guidance for students in an environment that fosters communication between future scientists and future health professionals.
