With great pleasure, the Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC) announces that Xerox Corporation has donated the amount of $5,000 to support the UCC scholarships fund.  Since 2000, the Xerox Foundation has contributed with more than $2.5 million to Hispanic colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. “The Xerox Foundation is the hand that gives something back to the communities from which we draw our employees, our customers and our freedom to conduct business,” says Erik Perez, general manager Xerox Puerto Rico.  “If we are to remain a world economic leader and secure the future for our children and grandchildren it is essential that we support today’s students.” These scholarships support students in math, engineering and sciences.

The Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC) is committed to giving support to its students so that their dream of becoming health professionals can come true. With its stated objective of awarding scholarships and stipends to students in all academic programs, the UCC has specialized resources that identify external sources of funds.  Through the noble gesture of philanthropists who have lent their support to our fundraising activities, we have been able to achieve the awarding of scholarships to students of Medicine, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Sciences, and Substance Abuse Counseling.
